Easter Cup Playoffs At Kone Tigers Oval

Since the beginning of Good Friday, the Kone Tiger’s oval came to its play offs today.

A game that was meant to see the finals today was canceled, and extended to next weekend due to no time, to run all the games.

 

The purpose of the tournament was to celebrate the Easter Season, and to bring out youths from suburbs, and settlements to participate in the 4 day tournament.

 

The major factor was the finals, which turned out into play off matches today for the Governors Easter cup at the Kone Tigers oval.

 

Up to 8 teams battled each other for placing’s in the finals, but are now slated for next weekend. Teams that made it to the Cup Semifinal were, PTC Spiders, Diwai Brothers, 6 mile Storms, and Badili Warako.

 

Playing on field for the bowl finals were, Dust Turf and Brother Hoods. These two teams started off great but the inexperienced Brother Hoods got dispatched on the first half, with Dust Turf 8 points to 6.

 

In the next round, at full time, the experienced Dust Turf scored another try, making it 12 points to 4 over the Brother Hoods. Dust Turf will wait to go into battle for the bowl final this weekend.

 

Also playing the bowl final, going buff and tough on each other was Moitaka Dragons and Junction Dogs. The winner of this match will go in to playing the bowl final against Dust Turf.

 

Teams going into semi finals next week’s plate finals will be Morata Swans, Bomai Yal, Erima Hurricanes and Guava Stealers.
