Donations Received from Members of ‘Current Job Vacancies Repost with LT’

Lazarus Towa is a nominee for the 2018 Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work.

He has been acknowledged for his contribution towards developing a sustainable and prosperous future for the Commonwealth,

Out of 5 Finalists from the Pacific Region, Lazarus Towa is the only finalist representing PNG.

When faced with logistical challenges, Towa made mention on his Facebook page and members on his page, Current Job Vacancies Repost with LT, began to send in donations.

Towa, has been acknowledged for his contribution towards developing a sustainable and prosperous future for the Commonwealth.

The work of the Commonwealth is anchored in the belief that empowers young people as assets to their societies.

Although being acknowledged as a finalist for this award, Towa is faced with a challenge and that is the logistics of getting to England in April.

The award provides accommodation and covers all costs when there; however the nominee is required to make their own way to England.

Towa posted the great challenge he was facing on his Facebook page. When his FB followers saw this post, they started to support.

Although discouraged that many organizations have given negative responses in supporting this trip, seeing individuals step in to help him made his spirit soar.

Towa, in his own time, using his own resources, has helped over 150 individuals gain full-time employment.
