Leader of Heritage Empowerment Party, Don Polye, says he is still leader of the second largest coalition Party in Government.
This comes after rumors of uncertainty over the party’s leadership.
He made the announcement over the airwaves on FM 100’s talkback show.
The Leader of the Triumph Heritage, Don Polye, has been on fire, making more public appearances as he rallies to win public support from the majority of Papua New Guineans over the K3 billion UBS Loan saga.
A number of callers on the radio show questioned about the party’s leadership standing.
Others also asked if Mr. Polye was going to join the opposition. He did not give himself away, but instead said that he would take it as good advice.
The topic of concern was the administration of the sovereign wealth fund. Will PNG be prepared to wisely manage the money generated by the LNG project?
According to Mr Polye, with the signing of the K3 billion loan, we have started it wrong.
His argument is based on the fact that initial proceeds of the LNG project will be used to pay off the loan.
