Health Minister Malabag has ordered an investigation into the Port Moresby General Hospital's Emergency Unit.
This follows a threat by the doctor in charge to shut the place down due to incomplete maintenance work.
Mr. Malabag plans to meet with the Health Secretary and the hospital board members over the matter on Monday.
