CPL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS RISE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

The CPL Foundation Inc., a founding partner and lead sponsor of RISE PNG, has presented K182,899.87 to support the RISE Empowerment Program during the fifth RISE Empowerment Workshop for 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the initiative.

The sponsorship will help fund the delivery and operation of the program, including workshops, program management, in-school support, and community outreach activities. It will also strengthen the School Support Project, allowing RISE to expand its impact across partner schools.

CPL Group Founder and Chairman Emeritus Sir Mahesh Patel said he supported the initiative from the beginning after seeing the success of South Africa’s Dream Girls Academy, which has empowered many young women to become professionals and leaders.

He said the Foundation’s continued support is an investment in the future of Papua New Guinea’s young women by promoting their personal development, education, health, wellbeing, and leadership.

The RISE Empowerment Program is an eight-month mentoring initiative for female students in Grades 11 and 12. Through monthly workshops, mentoring, school-based support, and outreach activities, the program equips participants with leadership, life, and career skills to help them become confident leaders in their communities.
