COMMUNITY WATCH PROGRAM CONTINUES

The community watch program initiated by youths of Koura Iarogaha Community Association at Tokorara continues into the New Year, 2024 and will end on the 31st of January.

Sonix Alowale, President of Koura Iarogaha Community Association appealed to the Member for Moresby North West to support programs like this as it helps to curve crimes at the community level.

A Youth REP of Ward 8, Moresby North West, Junior Thomas stressed that the youths of KICA are doing the right thing in bringing changes to their community.

“We want change in our community, we cannot wait for the change to come.

This type of programs should be carried out in every parts of the city to curve crimes and help support community in ways possible where the country is looking forward to.”

Mr. Thomas urged the Member for Moresby North West and NCD Commission to reach out to communities that are standing up for changes.

The Community Watch program will be carried out every year starting October going into the Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and ending at the 31st of the New Year.
