Community Appreciates New Road

A community at Lae’s Seventh Street have issued a call for the public to respect and take ownership of government services.

After years of neglect, the community now has a new concrete road built along the street. A dedication service will be held tonight at the street before the road will be opened tomorrow.

It was much of a relief and blessing for people living along this stretch of the Seventh Street area. The new concrete road now gives a freshening look at the street, and residents are more than happy with the government and the contractors.

Members of the community have been urged to look after the new road and keep it clean and free from vehicles using it. They also appealed to the public, especially motorists not to speed along the road as they might cause road accidents.

A dedication service organized by the community will be held tonight before the road is opened tomorrow. These sorts of appreciations are rare in most parts of the country when receiving much needed government services.

This community wants to set the precedence that every community should follow to appreciate and take ownership of government services.
