Coca Cola Ipatas Cup Southern Leg Launched

The Coca Cola Ipatas Cup Southern Leg was launched today in Port Moresby.

A total of 24 teams have registered to take part, including an inaugural women’s competition.

This year, many teams have registered to take part in the competition, and Southern Leg Tournament Director, Simon Maima, says it is the largest to date.

Six new teams have joined, and are hoping to make their mark in the competition.

For the first time, a women’s division has been included in the Coca Cola Ipatas Cup.

12 teams from NCD, and the other 12 from the Central region, will battle it out starting this weekend at the Kone Tigers oval.

Teams from NCD will go up against each other in one group, and the Central teams will do the same.

Two winners will be declared at the end of the competition, one winner from the Central Region and the other from NCD.

The tournament kicks off this weekend, and ends on February 5, 2017.
