CELCOR makes law more accessible for rural communities

The Centre for Environmental Law and Community Rights (CELCOR) has refined their legal education manual to make PNG laws, accessible to rural communities.

CELCOR is one of the NGOs in the forefront of advocating landowner rights in the country and is going a step further in making sure traditional resource owners in PNG, understand and apply resource laws in the country.

Over the last 16 years it has worked to ensure landowners overcome the obstacles of understanding resource laws and it application in the country.

They have refined the training manuals they use to conduct awareness on the different resource laws in the country.

Dr. Eric Kwa from the Constitutional Law reform commission described it as an excellent and exciting resource because it is very simple to understand.

People who are interested in this training can contact CELCOR on these numbers ( 323 4509/323 4237) or contact Marjorie on this email address: mwarisaiho@gmail.com
