Catholics Conclude Special Devotion Month

October 31 marks the conclusion of another Marian month in the Catholic Liturgical Calendar.

The months of October and May are the months where the Catholic faithful gather in families, communities and the church at large to recite the Holy Rosary, which is a special devotion prayer to the Virgin Mary.

Catholic Youth of the Port Moresby Archdiocese over the weekend staged a motorcade, carrying the statue of Mary through the different parts of the capital city.

They prayed and sang, imploring peace and the protection.

The program was hosted by the Salesian Parish of Mary Help of Christians, Sabama with over 300 young people participating.Youth

Chaplain, Father Dong Saladaga, inspired youth to strengthen and develop a close relationship with Mary and her son Jesus.

The youth are now looking forward to for the 2019 World Youth Day in Panama.
