Independent Moresby North East candidate, Carl Okuk, told the 8 Mile community to be critical of all candidates running for elections.
Speaking at a rally yesterday, Mr. Okuk said it was about time the people voted for a leader who can bring real change to the community.
He said they should not give in to the sweet talk of candidates, but decide if they can bring development based on their credibility and knowledge.
The 8 Mile community was out in numbers to listen to him speak.
More that 10 traditional sing-sing groups from the Highlands and Momase regions and brass bands also anticipated in welcoming Mr Okuk.
