Bougainville’s Film Icon Contesting

He is a filmmaker and if you do not really know him, he casts in the popular local movie produced in the then North Solomons, ‘Husat I Asua’.

His name is Albert Toro and is the ‘Tukana’ who is well known in one of Papua New Guinea’s first movie’s casting along with another film icon, Francesca Semoso as Lucy.

Toro is the contesting as an independent candidate with Box 15.

He is running this race together with some of Bougainville’s prominent leaders contesting the Bougainville Regional seat.

Joe Lera, for the second time, is re-contesting the Bougainville Regional Seat and is challenged by Former Vice President of the Autonomous Bougainville Government and Member for Halia Constituency, Patrick Nisira, including two former speakers Nick Peniai and Andrew Kamou Miriki.
