Barras End Sri Lanka Tour On High

The China Harbour PNG Barramundis finished their tour on a high, after they recorded their third victory on the trot in their last match against a Sri Lanka Select side, that boasted Sri Lankan international off-spinner Akila Dananjaya.

They finished the tour with four wins out of the seven games, as they fought back strongly after three successive defeats.

The 53 run victory once again was setup by the Batsmen with Tony Ura at the forefront, to help PNG amass a whopping 6/221 off their twenty overs.

Sri Lanka international off spin bowler Akila Dananjaya, was shown little respect by the PNG batsmen, as he returned with figures of 0/41 off his 4 overs.

The Sri lanka batsmen came out firing but PNG bowlers kept their calm with the huge target, and bowled the SL Select side, for 174 runs after 18 overs.

Wicket takers for PNG were Pipi Raho 2/29, Raymond Haoda 3/27, Willie Gavera 2/29, and John Reva 3/29.

The Barramundis will return home on Saturday 5th April.
