Air Niugini continues to increase flights to make it more convenient for the traveling public, both domestic and international flights.
The airline company announced additional flights to Singapore and the opening of its new sales office at Arawa.
This brings to five the number of flights to Singapore while the new Arawa office has received overwhelming response from the locals.
Air Niugini has increased flights to Singapore to connect Papua New Guinea to the rest of Asia and other connecting points in Africa and Europe.
The Airline Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Simon Foo, said in recent times, there was high demand for passenger’s reroute to Singapore.
Air Niugini flights schedules changes in April and November thus, there are now five flights to Singapore come April first.
Air Niugini operates to Singapore every, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday with the latest inclusion on Tuesday.
On the home front, Air Niugini General Manager for Commercials, Dominic Kaumu, said the opening of the Arawa Sales Office, has been positive.
He said it will also reduce traveling costs as the people don’t have to pay extra money by road and sea, to travel to Buka, to make bookings.
Air Niugini, as a State Owned Entity, wants to support the government’s aim to re-open services in Arawa, where most of them were disrupted by the decade – long Bougainville Crisis.
Air Niugini was one of the first SOE’s, to re-open services for the people of Central, North and South Bougainville. The Air Niugini Sales Office is located in the Post PNG Office.
