Bougainville Affairs Minister, Joe Lera, says lack of wisdom and foresight in addressing the issues affecting the referendum’s political concept is important, and that Bougainvilleans must be prepared well.
Minister Lera says most people lack the understanding of referendum and therefore are confused on how they can contribute meaningfully to the process, and must be made aware on the requirements and issues surrounding the referendum concept to address the period now. This would be especially during and after the referendum.
Lera says that to address this, leaders must attend to real issues affecting the people and assist them in developing themselves in order for them to build and contribute meaningfully.
