O’Neill Foundation

“There is a need to improve health and sanitation standards throughout the nation, especially for people leaving in rural communities.”

Prime Minister Peter O’ Neill announced this at the O&rsquO’Neill Foundation Fundraising Dinner in Port Moresby last night.

A Foundation that was established a year ago to help raise funds that will be given back to charity organizations.  

Some of these charity organizations include Salvation Army, Angau Hospital and City Mission.

Some of the foundation's funds will will be for piloting a project known as Waswas project.

This project aims to construct over a thousand eco-friendly wash houses throughout the nation over the next three years.   

A sum of K3.5 million kina was raised last night and all money collected will be divided and given back to charity organizations.

Last year, the foundation donated K2 million to the charity organizations to assist them to continue their charitable work.

Members of the parliament were also present for the dinner.
