Enga Children’s Foundation Assists With Medical Cover

Enga Children’s Foundation has made it possible to assist 13 students from Enga to study in Australia.

This afternoon, Enga Governor Peter Ipatas presented a cheque of over K11, 000 to cover medical check-ups for the trainees.

The Technical-Vocational Educational Training Program is facilitated by the Office of Higher Education.

The B2 Conference Room at parliament house was filled with 13 students from Enga Province. This is the third batch to be supported by the Enga Children’s Foundation where all their medical checks will be paid for.

Of the 4, 000 TVET scholarship applications, 200 students from across the country were shortlisted and out of them, 13 were from Enga Province.

Steven Gip George is one of the participants who will be taking up Metal Fabrication. He, like the rest of the students, has benefited from the education policy championed by Governor Ipatas.

The group is expected to depart Port Moresby this weekend.
