Handicap Snooker: Joseph to Defend His Title

Defending champion of the Pacific MMI Handicap competition Lasark Joseph is set to defend his title in this year's event set to cue off today.

Six different players have won this event over the past six years and Joseph will have to work hard to defend the title.

Lasark has had a handicap of 30 last year and since then has been reduced to 25 but could be the first to win back-to-back titles.

Champion Djorne Fong has a handicap of -20 and he will have to be accurate in his potting to overcome this deficit. He said 80 nominations have been received but only 64 players will be accepted and the response has been overwhelming.

The games cue off tomorrow at the Port Moresby Country, Aviat and Car clubs and the finals will be held on October 28th.
