MMJV Awards Mainyanda Primary School

Mainyanda Primary School was rewarded with sporting gear consisting soccer boots and socks, and a volleyball net as part of MMJV’s Community Affairs and Health and Safety week.

They were also given school stationery such as dictionaries, pens, exercise books including lunch bags and drink bottles.

 

MMJV’s Community Affairs and Health and Safety teams from Hidden Valley mine were warmly welcomed as they delivered the National Mine Safety Week poster competition prizes to the school.

 

Mainyanda was among three schools that supported MMJV’s efforts in celebrating the 3rd annual National Mine Safety Week event.

 

Headmaster Edwin Akuame, expressed gratitude and thanked Morobe Mining on behalf of the school. He said the competition allowed students, and teachers to go on site, and present their drama and song alongside the employees.

 

Health and Safety Superintendent, Frederick Guirguis, said such activities bond the staff and communities, living around the mine site.
