Heist Guards Surrender

Two of the three G4s suspects, involved in the daring K6 million heist last year, surrendered to police on Sunday.

They are Tony Jackson and Haro Yoro. The third suspect, Neville Tanakere, is still at large.

NCD Metropolitan Superintendent, Andy Bawa, says both have surrendered with the help from the June Valley community, and the church.

He commended the June Valley Community leaders, for their cooperation.

Mr. Bawa appealed to suspects who are still at large, to also surrender.

This is not the first time, that local communities and church groups, have succeeded in convincing runaway criminals, or prison escapees, to give themselves up to police.

But it is obvious, that the persuasive abilities of local communities, are a telling factor in the strengthening of law and order, and the changing of the criminal mind.

The community policing program of the RPNGC, is being enhanced by more reliable, and extensive modes of mobile communication in communities today.
