Re-Enactment Staged In Pari Commemorating Easter

Pari village is located along the Motuan Coastline within the Moresby – South Electorate. The villagers, led by youths from the Pari Christian Youth Fellowship of the United Church, re-enacted the last moments of Jesus, before his painful death on the cross of Calvary.

Pari villagers came to see for themselves and perhaps reflect on their lives as Christians by witnessing the different stages of the re-enactment which was staged in the middle of the village.

Facilitator of the event, Reverend Kore Mavara of Pari United Church, said the death of Christ on Good Friday is also a reminder not only to Christians but to every believer that Christ died for our sins and as believers we must be grateful for what He has done and change our lives for the better.

The Good Friday Re-enactment kick-starts the activities for the long Easter Weekend Celebrations.
