WAGI VALLEY SECONDARY GRADUATING STUDENTS URGED TO BE COMMITTED IN THE NEXT CHAPTER

By John Mori

Wagi Valley Secondary School students in North Wagi District of Jiwaka Province were urged to be committed to their education as they continue to the next chapter of their journey.

Jiwaka Provincial Acting Education Manager, Andrew Kuk made these remarks after realizing that many Western influences can easily destroy their educational pathway and their future.

Kuk said the students are the pride of their family and community, and therefore, they have to focus on the right direction in order to work on the right track.

School Principal Daniel Hants said, despite many financial challenges this year they managed to push through to ensure they have a graduation.

“I’m very excited about my board and management including students.” Hants said.

Hants said the school has come a long way and they still have a long journey to continue.

“You must believe in yourselves and do what is right to elevate and improve your learning standard.”

He said they are the leaders of tomorrow, and this country will be in their hands in the next 20 years.

A total of 203 grade 10 and 121 grade 12 students graduated with pride.

Wagi Valley Secondary is a level 9 school with a total of 928 students, 41 teachers, and 17 ancillary staff.
