NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BOOSTED WITH K20,000 SPONSORSHIP FROM LBC

The Touch Federation of Papua New Guinea (TFPNG) received a timely boost of K20,000 sponsorship from Lae Biscuit Company (LBC) recently at the company’s head office in Lae.
The sponsorship includes K10,000 cash and K10,000 worth of LBC stocks which adds up to a total of K20,000. The sponsorship now sees Lae Biscuit Company being part of TFPNG’s family of sponsors under the bronze level sponsorship.
The sponsorship is made possible by the generous support from the company’s managing director John Chow, Chow family and the company’s long history as one of the leading business houses who are always at the forefront of supporting the sporting sector, athletes and sports associations in PNG.
“We are happy to announce that we are sponsoring the upcoming National Touch Championship in Milne Bay and we are coming on board as a bronze sponsor.”
“Why we want to jump on board this opportunity is because the touch federation of PNG have put together a strong board (executives) and trying to push forward the agenda of touch footy in the country.”
“As we all know PNG is setting the gold standard for touch footy in the pacific and there is a lot of opportunity for support and being able to provide more opportunities for players.”
“I hope by coming on board there is faith and trust in the federation’s vision and Lae Biscuit Company has always been involved in sports like rugby league and this is another part of our values of giving back to the community,” said Chow.
TFPNG President Steven Kuimp including two other executives, Isikeli Gewa (director) and Andrew Ari Peter were present to receive the sponsorship from the company.
“On behalf of TFPNG, its executive and the touch footy fraternity, I thank John Chow, Chow family and Lae Biscuity Company for coming on board and supporting us.”
“We want to get the ball rolling and set the platform right and reach out to everyone and it is through such sponsorship that opens more doors for us,” said Kuimp.
Kuimp also highlighted the importance of the federation’s five-year development plan which covers good governance and setting good administration for the betterment of touch footy in PNG.
The sponsorship assistance will help the federation during the national championship and also see participating teams receiving the LBC stocks which is valued up to K10,000.
The National Touch championship will be hosted from December 10th-14th at the Alice Wedega Park in Alotau, Milne Bay province.
