Paladin Group has defended its K1 billion contract on Manus
The Paladin Group has defended its sub-contracts with customary landowner groups in Manus, and says it is not a party to any spin-off contracts which may have benefited the Speaker of Parliament and Member for Manus, Job Pomat.
In a media statement today they said, quote, โWe do not make payments that are not linked to a service, and reject the notion in the media that any contracts with a Papua New Guinea entity are tainted by corruptionโ unquote.
National Parliament Speaker Job Pomat when speaking to NBC yesterday, stated that he has no business with Paladin and nothing to hide.
Paladin Solution supported the Speakerโs statement that he has no business with Peren Investment whose directors are listed under the speakerโs brother, Kepo Pomat.
In the statement, Paladin also stated that they engage with communities wherever they work, and a Director, Ian Stewart, will be presenting his methodology in Port Moresby at a PNG Security Congress scheduled for March.
