Rugby World Cup: Albert Brothers Trudge Kumuls On

The Albert brothers tore a swathe through rugby league in Papua New Guinea and the Intrust Super Cup competition.

The older of the duo, Wellington, played for the Penrith Panthers for two years, while both have stints in the Hunters and the National Team.

Wellington is a formidable force as forward, towering at 194 centimetres, he stands at par with his Pacific Island counterparts.

They have been forming a scrum base combo that would be the backbone of the Hunters attack for the past two seasons of the Queensland Intrust Super Cup. Their ability to pre-empt each other’s movements saw them both play representative football and go on to claim this year’s Cup.

The Albert brothers proved their arsenal of destruction when the Rugby League World presented itself at the National Football Stadium last Saturday.

Their brute force may again be tested in this Sunday’s match against the feisty Irish.

Tickets for the game can be bought at any Tiket Mastas available in Brian Bell Stores.
