Telikom Launches WiFi services in CPL Supermarkets

Customers visiting Stop-N-Shop outlet at Konedobu in Port Moresby can now enjoy high speed internet service through Telikom’s Wi-Fi network using their mobile devices, tablets and other electronic devices.

This follows the launching of Telikom PNG’s Wi-Fi on Tuesday (17th October) at the City Pharmacy Stop-n-Shop outlet at Konedobu in Port Moresby.

It is another milestone achievement in terms of service delivery Telikom is offering through technological advancement like this as per its mission to transform the lives of people and communities by adding value through its advanced innovative communication solutions.

Telikom PNG Acting Chief Executive Officer, Xavier Victor, speaking during the event said it is a service that allows customers to have access to internet using the Wi-Fi on their mobile devices.

“Whether it be a smart phone or tablet, you can access the Wi-Fi service here so for those customers who visit Stop-N Shop for shopping, dinner or business the Wi-Fi service is here,” Mr Victor said.

Telikom is also offering mobile service to its customers, dispatch vouchers for customers on point of sales and scratch cards.

City Pharmacy Limited Chief Executive Officer Ravi Singh said through partnership with Telikom, CPL is able to launch this service at Stop-N-Shop Harbour city. The next site Telikom is looking at launching the Wi-Fi is Stop-N-Shop Rainbow.

Telikom has been pioneering in rolling out this service throughout the country because they believe in technology and making sure right type of products reach the customers.

Mr. Singh said they are working with TPNG to provide top-ups in all Stop-N-Shop terminal stalls across the city.

Approximately, there were 450 terminals or check-in counters installed in Stop-N-Shop outlets for customers to top-up their phones and purchase Telikom top-up and Rait Prepaid cards.
