Yana revealed her plans for the semester break on an earlier meet with EMTV Online.

“After much thought of going home for semester break and what I should bring with me to give to school students after visiting them and talking to them, I thought distributing Bibles to them is the best idea,” Yana said.

She said, with their own pocket Bibles, like the Gideon’s, they can learn from the Word and be strong in their growing up, academically and spiritually.

Yana who is a young Christian woman and someone of a matured character to many who know her believes her Christian beliefs practice ideas of wisdom and acceptance.

She sees that the bibles are good guide for the students and their families to practise good virtues.

“It is His righteousness and Kingdom that we must seek and all these added things will be ours, including the knowledge that we all want to learn in school.” Yana said.

Yana shared her idea with Dr Eric Kwa, Secretary (CEO) for the Papua New Guinea Constitutional and Law Reform Commission, also a member of the Gideon’s International, and she was told that it was a great idea.

“That is how I was able to secure 10 boxes, after the Gideon’s had their weekly meeting at CLRC.”

Per tradition, a Gideon’s International representative always accompanies the Bibles, hence Mr Ure volunteered to accompany Yana to these far reaches that lies on the border of Gulf and Morobe province.
