Women’s National Rugby League Coach position advertised

The position of a National Coach for the Women’s National Rugby League team is currently being advertised.

A coach for the Raggianas is to be appointed this month, to start preparations for the Rugby League World Cup.

The Raggianas will compete against Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England and the Cook Islands.

PNGRFL hope to appoint a coach before the end of February. The new coach will need to start with talent identification and player pathways.

This will be the first assignment for the new CEO in identifying a national coach for the women’s team. The final team for the Raggianas will be selected in July after the National Confederate Championships.

Tsaka added, the development of women’s rugby league has improved over the past 3 years and he is quite confident, the Raggianas can win the World Cup.
