Road Section of Highlands Highway Damaged by Flooding

Traffic along the 41 mile section of the Highlands Highway has slowed to a crawl after flooding damaged road sections.

The problematic stretch runs along a river that has broken its banks.

Attempts to keep the river under control have proven unsuccessful with works team saying a new approach is needed to contain the problem.
