Water has been restored to the Modilon General Hospital’s Eye Care Clinic, the Physiotherapy Department, the Mental Health Clinic, the Gynaecology and the Medical Wards.
This is after ongoing black outs in Madang last week, that affected the water pressure, which in turn affected these respective sections of the hospital.
On the positive note, black outs are now a thing of the past for the Modilon General hospital, now that it’s supported by a recently purchased standby generator of 550 KVA.
The hospital is hoping that it will be fully funded before the end of this month, to enable it to proceed with the installation of its very own water supply, using the borehole system.
