YWAM Receives Support

People in the Bamu area of Middle Fly in Western province, will continue to receive medical treatment from an Australian Christian Health organisation.

The organisation, called Youth with a Mission or YWAM, provides dental and other primary medical treatment to people on-board a medical ship, gave their assurance today.

 

YWAM has been providing dental, immunisation and other primary health services in the Bamu area of Western province for four years now. They travel by a ship into rural areas to provide these medical services.

 

Today, the Western provincial government again presented a PSIP cheque of Two Hundred Thousand Kina to the organisation, to reaffirm their commitment to support their work every year. 

 

Western Governor, Ati Wobiro, said their work has also contributed to up skilling local health workers in the area. 

 

YWAM Ship Manager, Hannah Peart, said they will continue their program in Western province, and will also extend their services to other provinces.
