Radio station 93 FM, Yumi FM this year marks a milestone achievement when it commemorates the 10th Anniversary of its prestigious PNG Music Awards night on May 3rd at the Lamana Gold Club.
Newest category to enter the 2014 awards night, “Studio Label of the Year”, will recognize the studio that produced most of the songs that have been requested for in 2013.
With the backing of Major Sponsor, Keynote Music House, the 2014 Music Awards Night will feature live performances by some of PNG’s up and coming musical artists who have attracted more requests by loyal listeners in 2013 on YUMIFM’s Weekly Hit Parade.
Some of the songs that have made it on to the nominees list, are songs like, “ O’Mam” by JOKEMA, “ Sori Poromis” by Dadiigii and Trojan’s ever famous “Salamist Lewa”.
The Awards Night will feature 18 categories including: Album of the Year, Newest Group of the Year, Group of the Year, Chart Consistency, Longest Charting Song, Song of the Year, South Pacific Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and Best Duet of the Year.
