The newly formed Young Chamber of Commerce met in Port Moresby last night.
The chamber was established to bring young people from different professions living in Port Moresby together; and to groom a generation of business leaders in Port Moresby.
Its primary aim is to create a wider network for young professionals to develop themselves in their respective careers.
The meeting was staged as an opportunity for the individuals to meet other members of the chamber.
Young Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a subcommittee to the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry. President, Christopher Ephlick wants to see the chamber become a uniting force for change amongst young professionals.
The quest speaker of the event and member of the Badili Club, Peter Aitsi, challenged those present to set clear professional goals and work towards it.
He said, while it is important for young people to achieve those professional goals, it is equally important also to balance one’s social life.
