The Butibum community in Lae will now have access to a wireless electronic library.
The electronic library is a project rolled out in 2014 by Lae District.
Lae Secondary School was the first recipient of this project.
It was launched today by sitting member for Lae, Loujaya Kouza.
This wireless electronic library was named after the village chief, Malac Nathaniel Gware.
The library will be used by students for research and school projects.
Lae District will soon launch two more e-libraries.
Lae Secondary School was the first to get this wireless electronic library in 2014. It was part of the school roll out program.
The school principal, Christopher Raymon, said the project has been very beneficial.
The e-library was created and installed by Chayil Information Technology, a local company in Lae.
The library contains information on education, agriculture and health and other sub topics, and can be accessed using smartphones.
