West New Britain Province is the next venue for the 2016 PNG Games.
With the target now in place, major plans and preparations are in place, to make this bid become a reality.
All eyes are on the next host for the 2016 PNG Games, West New Britain Province.
Recently, the West New Britain Games Committee met in Kimbe, a meeting that was attended by the PNG Sports Foundation Acting Executive Director, Peter Tsiamalili Junior.
The meeting was held on the Governor’s invitation.
In order for the bid to take its course, Mr. Tsiamalili said more work will be done first, to prepare the games venue for next year.
No new facilities will be built instead, maintain and upgrade all the existing facilities, like the sports grounds, and the schools, to house the athletes.
Mr. Tsiamalili is happy with the progress, and he is looking forward to working closely with the committee.
