Vocal Fusionists visit Pom General to mark Children’s Day

by Judith Kasek – EM TV, Port Moresby

Children’s Day was celebrated recently and although events were held for children in the nation’s capital few were not able to celebrate.

Taking time off from their busy schedule and with a heart of giving to others in need, EM TV’s sales and marketing team, along with Vocal Fusion winner Jacob Illave and third runner up Theresa Miria visited the children’s ward at the Port Moresby General Hospital.

Illave said most of the parents in the children’s ward were not aware of the day and were surprised but grateful for the visit.

The visit was to acknowledge the universal Children’s Day but most importantly, the rights of children and in this case, their right to be healthy.

Over 70 children in the pediatric wards at Port Moresby General Hospital were paid a visit and given gift bags which not only brought smiles to the children but gratitude from the parents.

Pictures from the visit can be viewed above.
