UOG to open Southern Region Open Campus

The University of Goroka will be able to open its doors in NCD.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed today between UOG, Waigani Christian College and the Higher Education Department.

This will see the establishment of the UOG Southern Region Campus.

The occasion is a big step forward for founder, Benjamin Mul.

He said it is not the infrastructure and other necessities of partnering with UOG but for quality accessible education opportunity for all Papua New Guineans.

The Southern Regional Open Campus will operate under the University’s Institute of Flexible and Distance Learning (IDFL). It will offer UOG’s programs to interested Non-School Leavers and In-Service teachers in the region. A plaque was also unveiled by the different stakeholders in embracing the occasion.

Other UOG Open campuses include the Mt. Hagen and the Pacific Open Campus in Honiara, Solomon Islands with Study Centres in Chimbu, Enga, East Sepik, Morobe, West New Britain, Oro, Milne Bay and AROB.

The upper executive of the University of Goroka were present this morning to join Founder and Director of Waigani Christine College, teachers and students to signify the partnership.
