Trukai Industries Limited has maintained its support for the annual Goroka Show with a sponsorship of K10, 000. Trukai has sponsored this event for 14 consecutive years and is committed towards giving back to the community and supporting such events that promote PNG’s unique and diverse culture.
The sponsorship consists of K5, 000 cash and K5, 000 worth of rice donation that will go towards assisting the show committee stage this year’s event. Trukai will also support the Pikinini Show with merchandise items as prizes. The items will go towards various activities organised for the school children that will come from across the Eastern Highlands Province.
Commenting on the company’s sponsorship, Corporate Affairs Manager, Ms Ancilla Wrakuale, said Trukai is delighted to be part of one of PNG’s oldest and popular cultural shows.
“We have been supporting the Goroka Show including other major cultural events around the country over many years and that shows our strong commitment towards supporting community oriented events like this as they generate much needed revenue for the local communities.
She stated that Trukai is a favourite household name loved by many across PNG so this is also another way of the business giving back to the communities.
Similar to previous years, there will be a Trukai stall at the show ground. All show goers are encouraged to visit the stall and participate in the fun activities to win lots of great prizes.
The Goroka Show is one of the top cultural events in PNG that attracts both local and international tourists because of the unique and diverse culture that are showcased each year.
