Special achievement is through self- discipline, commitment, sacrifice and being surrounded by encouraging and good circle of friends, this was stated by Dux Trainee from the Legal Training Institute.
Far from just admiring the legal profession to now being one step away to being part of the legal fraternity, Markwell Makap the dux of the graduating class of 2022 highlighted that it was through self-discipline he was able to overcome peer pressure and stayed focused on this journey.
Makap also added that anyone can be successful; it all depends on the sacrifices and the circle of friends they choose to be with.
Makap’s father, Peter Makap who is a high school teacher highlighted that his son’s achievement was one of his proudest moment.
He said he was proud of his son for being very committed and overcame all these peer pressure challenges to be where he is now.
He added that Markwell attended the church run school from Primary to Secondary and that has mold and shaped him well and has brought his son this far.
Makap also graduated with honors from the University of Papua New Guinea under the school of law in April of last year.
