The Institute of Internal Auditors received a K10, 000 cheque from TISA today. The money will be used to fund IIA’s annual conference, to be held this August.
With the theme 'Strategically Managing a Changing Environment Ten Years and Beyond', the conference is expected to attract internal auditors from all parts of PNG.
Institute of Internal Auditors PNG Chapter, is part of an international network representing internal auditors worldwide. It upholds and supports Code of Ethics, and promotes International Standards for professional practice of Internal Auditing.
The cheque presentation was witnessed by TISA’s CEO, Poni Korua, and IIA Committee members from BSP, Telekom and City Pharmacy Limited. With over 38 000 members in PNG, TISA believes in supporting professionals in the country in the area of Risk Management, Business Assurance, Advisory and Auditing.
In doing so, TISA’s Risks Compliance and Audit Manager, Russell Tato said, TISA believes in elevating human resourced skills and would like to support other related skills training programs.
Upon receiving the cheque, IIA’s Treasurer, Joanna Tupou, thanked TISA for their continuous support and said IIA members are increasing. It now has three hundred members and other pacific island countries like Vanuatu, Fiji, and Solomon Island, are interested to join the PNG Chapter
