The National Cultural Commission and UPNG Sign MOU

The National Cultural Commission (NCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University Of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) to host some of the performances and cultural activities, in the upcoming 5th Melanesia Festival of Arts and Culture.

It’s a countdown, thirty four more days left, for the big international event, that will be hoisted by Papua New Guinea, from June 28 to July 11.

NCC Executive Director Doctor Jacob Simet, pointed out the program is an important area that calls for tasks, be shared among stakeholders.

UPNG is ready to help deliver a successful festival, says Pro Vice Chancellor Vincent Malaibe.  It’s an opportunity for students to learn and experience.

The 5th Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture’s theme is ‘Celebrating Cultural Diversity’ highlights the importance and value of cultural diversity.

The central location is Port Moresby, including other satellite venues of Alotau, Kokopo, Mount Hagen and Wewak.
