Telikom donates to Kaugere Meri Seif Haus

 

Kaugere Meri Self Haus was the proud recipient of Telikom PNG’s latest product, the Fixed Wireless Broadband, to boost its campaign against Gender-Based Violence.

The Meri Seif Haus is a program run by Foursquare Living Light Gospel Church at Kaugere. The program is managed by the Church’s Women Ministry providing temporary shelter to victims of Violence in Moresby South and NCD.

Telikom PNG Limited made the generous donation yesterday (4th June, 2019) to the Seif Haus to help coordinate and run its services to the victims.

Telikom Marketing & Business Development Manager Silas Matoli, when presenting the device to the church spoke on the importance of addressing Gender-Based violence in our communities and says Telikom is pleased to support churches who are doing something to benefit our people in the communities.

“Telikom is owned by the People of Papua New Guineans and it’s only right that the company comes to support such programs,” says Matoli. The Fixed Wireless broadband offers both voice and data services and is available in all Telikom shops nationwide.

Resident Senior Pastor Rodney Tomuriesa thanked Telikom PNG for the timely donation and says the Church and the Meri Seif Haus program is happy to receive such a kind donation.

Manager of the Meri Seif Haus Program, Angesula Jogamup extended the program’s gratitude and says the donation would go a long way in helping them run the program. Women who are abused will now be able to contact Kaugere Meri Safe Haus on 340 0253.

The presentation was witnessed by members of the Women’s Ministry and Church members.
