Startup PNG’19 Convention deferred to December 10th

The launching of the first Startup PNG’19 Convention, has been deferred to Tuesday 10th of December 2019. This was due to an electrical fire incident at the International Convention Center, which rendered the venue unusable.

The convention has been officially moved to the APEC Haus, and according to Anthony Smare, one of the event’s organizers, the change of venue will actually be beneficial on the long run:

“The APEC Haus venue and new timing will provide for a successful event, with an opportunity to turn the carpark around the APEC Haus into a dynamic night and day SME marketplace for the week, as well as expand the size of the VIP program”.

The PNG’19 Convention intends to bring under one roof for five days, some of the most successful decision makers and startup businesses in Papua New Guinea to forge ties and find a way forward for innovative ideas that could bring significant changes to the market place.
