SP Hunters charity climb

by Skola Sengi – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

Keeping the festive period celebration alive for all, the SP Hunters will climb Mt Kabiu, situated next to Mt Tavurvur to raise funds for charity.

The team plan to purchase presents for patients who will be spending the Christmas and New Year period in the Nonga Base Hospital in Rabaul, and St Mary’s Vunapope Hospital in Kokopo.

All players and staff have been given individual targets of K100 to raise for the charity climb. Head Coach Michael Marum called out to all their sponsors and supporters to get behind their effort and support a worthy cause.

PNGRFL CEO Brad Tassell pledged a personal contribution of K500 and commends the team for driving this initiative.

Carmichael Builders have donated K2,000 and KAO have donated K500 to kick-start the charity climb.

This marks a milestone for community service initiative and programs national sporting bodies are embarking on in building strong community partnerships and development culture through Sport.
