SHP Rolls Out Telikom Clean IT Project

The Southern Highlands Provincial Government, in partnership with Telikom PNG, has boosted learning for students of the Southern Highlands Province.

Through this partnership, three schools have connected with e-learning services, giving them access to e-libraries.

The launching of the internet learning solution was held at Ialibu Secondary School.

Telikom also donated Media Pads, Telikom’s Wi-Fi service, to the respective principals for students to use.

The launch was officiated by Deputy Governor of Southern Highlands James Mali on behalf of Hon.  Governor William Powi.

“I am proud that the children of SHP are equipped with this latest technology of learning. Education is vital and the SH Provincial Government will support education as much as possible,” Mali said.

He encouraged the students to use the facility and concentrate in their studies to become intelligent.

In addition, Board of Trustee member George Bopi urged the students to maximize their learning through the use of clean internet.

A sum of K500, 000 was presented to Telikom Foundation last year by Governor William Powi for this project to roll out in Southern Highlands Province.
