RPNGC receive Motorcades for APEC 2018

20 special motorcade escort motorcycles are now in the possession of the Royal PNG Constabulary.

Deputy Police Commissioner and Chief of Operations, Jim Andrews, received the keys of the motorcycles from the Australian Federal Police Mission Commander, Bruce Giles.

Mr. Andrews said these are assets that must be utilised and maintained for the maximum benefit of the force while serving the people.

The motorcycles are ready for use and are being kept at the Traffic Directorate Head Office in Port Moresby’s 4 mile.

“I thank the people and government of Australia for the continuous support to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary to provide security for the APEC meeting this year” said Deputy Commissioner Andrews.

The ceremony coincided with the launching of the motorcyclist and driver training course. Also present were the National Capital District Metropolitan Chief Superintendent Perou N’Dranou and other senior officers from the RPNGC, AFP and the New Zealand Police.
