The approaches taken by schools and authorities to end school fights in Lae City has not helped in stopping the fights.
The Member for Lae, John Rosso said he will visit schools in Lae with the assistance of relevant authorities to know the cause of the problem.
Rosso said this yesterday, after congratulating Malahang Technical High School students for being disciplined and not taking part in school fights.
The school fights in Lae City is one of the many problems Lae has faced over the years.
The problem has been addressed, but school fights still continue.
Rosso commended Malahang Technical School for their discipline and for not taking part in school fights.
He said parents should take control of their children and know their whereabouts.
The member for Lae also warned the students to refrain from taking part in crimes.
The member for Lae said concerns arising in the city are everyone’s problem that needs collaboration from the public and higher authorities to sort out the issues.
