Wins for Veupunama, Rebels and Sparrows, capped off a night of intensity in the PMNA Premier Netball third round of competition.

Beginning with the Tier 2, Mona were under no impression that this would be an easy task.  Winless since the start of the campaign, they faced a tough assignment against Veupunama.

Both sides off the back of losses in last week’s round, this was match to determine a shot at the finals.

Alurigo Opina at wing defence for Veupunama combining well with centre and captain Barbara Arivusu to creative effect. Veupunama winning by the narrowest of margins 45-42.

In the other Tier 2 encounter, it was another dominant display by the Rebels in a fired up encounter  with Auna Fonza Raukele.

On more than one occasion, umpire Annie Iamo had to settle the match down.  Junior Pepe Serena Ovia was outstanding in goal as the match ended Rebels 45 to Raukele’s 34.

The competition will take a two week break before resuming.
