REVIEW COMMENCES ON NAC

By Samantha Solomon

The minister for Transport and Civil Aviation Walter Schnaubelt has announced the commencement of a special enterprise review into the affairs of the National Airports Corporation.

With recent operational disruptions, this goes in line with the Marape-Rosso government drive to restoring stability and enhancing operation efficiency, regulatory compliance and sustainability at NAC.

The objective of this review is to identify the root cause of the issues causing instability at the NAC and recommending corrective actions for implementation by government and the NAC board.

Minister Schnaubelt said the review will cover legislative regulatory framework that the organization operates under, and other issues on the cause of executive turnover and many others.

He further said this will help the organization in minimizing instability at NAC, improve corporate governance and will also lay the foundation for business growth and sustainability.

Minister Schnaubelt said the result of this review will be presented to the National Executive Council.
