A good reception from the corporate community in Port Moresby turned up for the 6th PNG Games Sponsorship Launch recently in Port Moresby, to put the Games Committee a step further with its funding capacity.
NRL Legend and the first Games Ambassador to be revealed, Scott Prince, was happy to share his thoughts on Toea’s inclusion.
The NRL Legend said he was honoured to be partnered with PNG’s sprint queen and encouraged all athletes and the nation to embrace the PNG Games in November.
Prince said the first time he saw Toea in action was in the last Olympics and thought she was really fast – she was seconds away from securing PNG’s first ever track medal.
He joked about imagining Toea in Gold Coast Titans jersey and passing the ball to her for a sideline try, but expressed the opportunity as a privilege to work alongside PNG’s sprint prodigy.
